1.Working principle

PCB pulse power supply is a power supply device that can output pulse voltage or current. Its basic working principle is as follows:

Conversion of input power supply: The input end of the pulse power supply usually receives electrical energy from an AC power supply or a DC power supply. Before conversion, a rectifier circuit is usually required to convert AC power into DC power. This step is not required for DC power supply.

Energy storage: In order to provide a stable output current, a pulse power supply usually adds an energy storage device, such as a capacitor or an inductor. Such an energy storage device can store energy when the input current of the power supply is stable, and release energy when the output current is unstable to maintain the stability of the output current.

Pulse generation: The core part of the pulse power supply is the pulse generator. The pulse generator is usually an integrated circuit or chip that can generate a corresponding pulse waveform according to the input current waveform requirements. By controlling the parameters such as the frequency, duty cycle and amplitude of the pulse, the power signal requirements of different devices and circuits can be met.

Filtering of output current: In order to eliminate noise and interference signals in the output current of the pulse power supply, a filtering circuit is usually required to smooth the output waveform. This ensures the stability and purity of the output current.

2.Applications

PCB pulse power supplies are widely used in many fields, especially in the PCB electroplating process. Specific applications include:

PCB electroplating: used for PCB circuit board electroplating, precious metal electroplating, gold, silver, rhodium, palladium, iron and other high-end product precision surface treatment processes.

Electropolishing deburring: used for pulse electrochemical polishing, plasma plasma polishing, etc.

Electromachining: used for pulse electrochemical precision machining and precision etching, mainly used for machining precision devices with high hardness.

Special industries: such as nano-electrodeposition, precious metal electrolysis, etc.

Input voltage: three-phase 380V/400V (any voltage can be customized), single-phase 220V/230V (any voltage can be customized).
Input range: ±10% (other ranges can be customized).
Input frequency: 40-70Hz.

Frequency: 0-100kHz, DC output is possible.
Duty cycle: 0-100%.
Positive and negative pulse width ratio: 0-100%.
Efficiency: >92%.
Power factor: >0.95.

5.Plating effect

In the process of PCB board electroplating, the alternating action of positive and negative pulse current makes the electroplating layer more delicate and uniform, effectively avoiding the "dog bone" phenomenon in traditional DC electroplating, and improving the efficiency and quality of electroplating.
